Eduright GRT

Currently working on a very interesting and thought provoking site. Annie and Eric’s mission statement “Empowering the gypsy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) community through tailored educational support – while equipping schools and local authorities with the knowledge to cultivate inclusion and understanding”

Annie began her journey with academic research focused on the challenges faced by GRT pupils in mainstream schools. This foundation informed her role as a Traveller Coordinator insecondary education, where she developed tailored support systems, trained staff on GRT culture, and built strong relationships with families to improve outcomes for GRT students. Her work expanded nationally through a leading charity, where she trained frontline professionals, advocated for Special Educational Needs (SEN) support, and helped familiesnavigate educational and legal systems to secure vital services.

Having witnessed the discrimination faced by GRT pupils within classrooms, staff rooms, and across school systems, Eric has dedicated his career to addressing these injustices and supporting learners who are too often overlooked.
